[Gimp-print-devel] New MAC OS sierra no longer recognising the new Gutenprint update.

HELP! I have an older gen HP laserjet 2100 printer that works amazingly
well. MAC OS Updates always screwed it up but your drivers always did the
trick until now. I've downloaded and installed the newest version of
Gutenprint and when i go to add printer, nothing comes up in the list??
i've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I have a macbook pro
running Sierra version : 10.12.4 (16E195) and i dowlanded and installed
Gutenprint : 5.2.12

My printer is HP laserjet 2100. Am I forgetting a step or something?
according to apple support, they said if gutenprint had supported drivers
for that printer, it would come up in the add printer list. but it's not.
so is it a problem on your end?

what can i do?
