[Gimp-print-devel] Time to get rid of 'CUPS + Gutenprint 5.2.xx' in the reported CUPS Printer Nickname?

...Since we got rid of foomatic and ijs support, that text seems kinda
redundant now.

I suppose there's an argument for leaving "Gutenprint" or the version
string in there, but we should at least get rid of the "CUPS+" part of
it.

Thoughts?

It does appear that genppdupdate doesn't key off that, and indeed,
doesn't do anything special with the nickname at all. However, people
might have legacy Foomatic PPD files on their system that genppdupdate
won't handle, and there might be some confusion if we seemingly
eliminate the distinction.

I could see doing this for 5.3, but not for any 5.2 release.

That's true, but given that foomatic/ijs support has already been
removed from the 5.2 series, those folks are already in a position where
their old setup would have been rendered non-functional.

One more thing for the to-do list. :)
